FireTV Remote ("we", "our", or "us") built this iOS application as a free and easy-to-use remote control tool for Fire TV devices. This page explains what permissions we request, how we use them, and how we protect your information.
1. Information Collection and Use
We respect your privacy. Our app collects and stores no personal information unless it is explicitly provided by you.
However, to function properly, FireTV Remote may request the following permissions:
Local Network Access

Why we request it:
The app requires access to your local Wi-Fi network to discover and connect to your Fire TV device. This allows the app to act as a remote control and communicate with your TV. -
What is accessed:
The app scans for compatible Fire TV devices using standard network discovery (Bonjour/mDNS). This scanning is processed entirely on your device. -
We do not:

Send or upload any local network data to our servers.

Store or share your local IP addresses or device names.

How to control it:
You can grant or revoke this permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. Disabling it will stop device discovery. -

Photos and Videos Access

Why we request it:
Some features may let you choose a photo, send a screenshot for support, or customize app backgrounds. -
What is accessed:
Only the specific photos or videos you select. The app does not automatically scan, upload, or collect media from your device. -
We do not:

Access your media without your action.

Upload or share any image or video without your explicit consent.

How to control it:
You can change access in Settings → Privacy → Photos, and select “None”, “Selected Photos”, or “All Photos.” -

2. Log Data
If the app crashes or encounters an error, we may collect anonymized Log Data (such as device model, iOS version, and crash report) to improve stability. This data does not include personal identifiers.
3. Ads and Analytics
We may integrate third-party services such as Google AdMob to display ads.
These third parties may use identifiers (e.g., Apple’s IDFA) for ad personalization and analytics, in compliance with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
You can opt out of tracking at any time in Settings → Privacy → Tracking.

All collected data is stored locally or processed anonymously through Apple or trusted third parties (e.g., crash logs).

You can delete all data by uninstalling the app.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
