Help & Support – LivaSub
Welcome to the support page for LivaSub – AI Live Translator.
LivaSub provides real-time subtitles, speech recognition, language identification, offline translation, and text-to-speech features. Some features may vary depending on your device, operating system, language, and region.
Getting Started
Open LivaSub.
Select your subtitle or translation languages.
Download the required offline language models.
Choose an audio source, such as the microphone or supported device audio.
Tap the Start button to begin live transcription.
Grant the requested permissions when prompted.
Microphone Subtitles
To create subtitles from nearby speech:
Select Microphone as the audio source.
Allow microphone access.
Tap Start.
Speak clearly near the device.
LivaSub processes microphone audio temporarily to generate subtitles. Audio is not intentionally saved as a permanent recording or uploaded to HaiVo servers.
Device Audio Subtitles
On supported Android devices, LivaSub may create subtitles from audio played by other applications.
To use this feature:
Select Device Audio or Internal Audio.
Approve the Android screen or audio capture prompt.
Open the video, lesson, or media application.
Start playing the content.
Some applications, calls, protected videos, and copyrighted media may block internal audio capture. LivaSub cannot bypass restrictions imposed by Android or another application.
This feature may not be available on iOS or on all Android devices.
Offline Translation
LivaSub uses downloaded language packages to translate subtitles on your device.
Before using offline translation:
Open the language or model manager.
Select the required source and target languages.
Download the available language packages.
Keep the App open until the download is complete.
An Internet connection is required for the initial download. After installation, supported translation features can work offline.
Floating Subtitles
On supported Android devices, LivaSub can display subtitles over other applications.
To enable floating subtitles:
Open LivaSub settings.
Enable Floating Subtitles.
Allow the Display over other apps permission.
Start a subtitle session.
You can move the subtitle window and adjust its text size, appearance, and position.
Floating overlay functionality may not be available on iOS.
Text-to-Speech
LivaSub can read translated text aloud using the text-to-speech engine installed on your device.
When no voice is available:
Check that a text-to-speech engine is installed.
Download the required voice or language.
Increase the device media volume.
Confirm that audio is routed to the correct speaker or headphones.
Some text-to-speech voices require an Internet connection.
Bluetooth and Headphones
LivaSub supports compatible speakers, wired headphones, and Bluetooth audio devices.
When audio is playing through the wrong device:
Disconnect and reconnect the audio device.
Check the device’s media output settings.
Confirm that Bluetooth permission is enabled where required.
Restart the active subtitle session after changing the audio route.
Support depends on the device manufacturer and operating system.
Subtitle History
LivaSub may save subtitles and translations locally on your device.
To manage history:
Open the History screen.
Select a previous subtitle session.
Review or delete individual entries.
Use Clear History to remove all saved sessions.
HaiVo cannot recover deleted history because it is not stored on HaiVo servers.
Managing Offline Models
You can download or remove speech and translation models from the Model Manager.
Removing an offline model frees device storage but disables the related language until the model is downloaded again.
Large models may require:
A stable Internet connection;
Sufficient free storage;
Adequate battery power; and
Additional time to complete installation.
Common Issues
No subtitles appear
Check that:
The correct audio source is selected.
Microphone or audio capture permission is enabled.
The selected speech model has been downloaded.
The speaker volume is high enough.
The spoken language matches the installed model.
Another application is not currently using the microphone.
Recognition is inaccurate
For better results:
Reduce background noise.
Move closer to the speaker.
Use the correct language model.
Speak clearly at a natural speed.
Avoid covering the device microphone.
Use a higher-quality model where available.
Recognition accuracy may vary depending on accents, audio quality, background music, speaker distance, and device performance.
Translation does not work
Check that:
The target language package is installed.
The source language was detected correctly.
The subtitle text is long enough to identify the language.
The required model download completed successfully.
The device has sufficient free storage.
Internal audio is unavailable
Internal audio capture may be unavailable when:
The operating system does not support it.
The media application blocks capture.
The content is protected.
The device manufacturer restricts audio playback capture.
The feature is not supported on iOS.
Try using microphone capture as an alternative.
Floating subtitles disappear
Check that:
Display-over-other-apps permission is enabled.
Battery optimization is disabled for LivaSub if necessary.
The foreground subtitle service is still running.
LivaSub has not been stopped by the operating system.
The subtitle notification is active.
The App stops in the background
Some devices restrict background services to save battery.
Open your device settings and allow LivaSub to:
Run in the background;
Use unrestricted battery mode;
Display notifications; and
Use microphone or MediaProjection while an active session is running.
The exact setting names vary by device manufacturer.
Model download fails
Try the following:
Check your Internet connection.
Free additional device storage.
Disable VPN or network filtering temporarily.
Restart the App.
Remove the incomplete model and download it again.
Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network.
Permissions
LivaSub may request access to:

Each permission is used only for the feature described in the App. You can manage permissions through your device settings.
